Standard School District Food Services manages 3,100 breakfasts and 2,800 lunches per day plus after-school snacks, supper, and summer feed meals. Standard School District recognizes that a regular breakfast enhances a student's academic response and that is why we offer breakfast in the classroom to all students. School breakfasts provide a good start toward meeting a child's daily nutritional need of food energy, protein, vitamins, and minerals.

Parents and Guests

Parents and guests are welcome to join their child for lunch during the student’s scheduled lunchtime. Upon arrival, visitors must sign in at the school office.

Parents and guests may purchase a school lunch from the cafeteria for $6.00. To support healthy habits and align with district nutrition standards, bringing fast food or soft drinks for students is strongly discouraged.

Please refer to the District Wellness Policy for guidelines regarding school parties and classroom treats.

COMMUNITY ELIGIBILITY PROVISION

We are pleased to announce that Standard School District will continue implementing the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2025-2026 school year.

The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is a federal program under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) that allows schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs to provide healthy breakfasts and lunches to all enrolled students at no charge, regardless of income level.

What This Means for Families
All students enrolled in participating schools are eligible to receive a nutritious breakfast and lunch each school day at no cost.

The following school sites are participating in the CEP during the 2025-2026 school year.

  • Standard Elementary
  • Highland Elementary
  • Wingland Elementary
  • Standard Middle School
